Joe Grushecky gave The Sandinista Project a wonderful "The Magnificent Seven" and he has a good, angry new song, "Lake Pontchartrain," posted on his website.
And good news for New Yorkers:
The Jim Duffy Combo, featuring the amazing Dennis Diken on drums, who contributed "Look Here" to this project, will be swinging next Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 9 p.m., at the Lakeside Lounge, 162 Ave. B @ E. 10th, in a little borough we like to call Manhattan.
That should be enough, but there's more. Myrna Marcarian's Ruby on the Vine, who performed "Rebel Waltz," will be sharing a bill with Antietam next Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m., at Magnetic Field, 97 Atlantic Ave., in Brooklyn.
